ASERCOM Energy Efficiency Award 2005

Since 2003 the ASERCOM Energy Efficiency Award has sponsored a highly valuable energy saving concept or system in refrigeration/air conditioning (including heat pumps). To be eligible applications must be a new concept, practicable technically, and acceptable economically. An international panel of technical experts evaluates the applicants' cases and makes final judgment.

This year, however, ASERCOM will not award this meanwhile popular prize because the international jury of experts considered none of the applications met the criteria or corresponded to the high technical level requested and expected.

Nevertheless for a few submissions the jury expressed confidence that in due time the concepts presented may have a chance again when technology transfer to the industry supports the expected energy efficiency improvements.

ASERCOM will sponsor again this award in 2006.
